To provide the exceptional level of care our clients expect, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be available Monday through Friday between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM to be considered for regular dog walking positions.
Applicants with flexible schedules are encouraged to apply for our part-time and coverage walker positions.
Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
Previous professional pet care experience is preferred but not required. We welcome applicants with volunteer, personal, or other relevant animal care experience—please be sure to tell us about it!
Must be committed to using positive reinforcement, force-free, and fear-free handling techniques. We believe in building trust and confidence with every pet and do not use or support aversive handling methods while pets are in our care.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all types of New England weather. Rain, snow, heat, or cold—our clients still count on us. (Think of it as your gym membership!)
Must have a reliable smartphone with internet access and be able to communicate promptly with our management team regarding client updates, schedule changes, and service needs.
Must be dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while providing outstanding customer service.
Must have excellent observational skills and be able to recognize changes in a pet's behavior, health, or environment, reporting concerns promptly to our management team.
Must be comfortable entering clients' homes respectfully and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and trust.
Most importantly, you must have a genuine love for animals and a commitment to treating every pet with patience, kindness, and respect.
