Whether your pet prefers the comfort of a home environment or the familiarity of their own surroundings, Lucky Lucy's Pets offers personalized boarding options designed to keep them safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.
We currently offer in-home boarding in one of our caregivers' homes for our canine clients, as well as overnight pet sitting in your home for dogs, cats, and other furry, feathered, or scaly family members who are happiest staying in their own environment.
Because we provide individualized care in a home setting, boarding availability is limited. Reservations fill quickly, are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and are subject to availability—especially during holidays and peak travel seasons.
To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we require all new boarding clients to first become established dog walking clients. Building a relationship through regular walks allows us to get to know your dog's personality, routine, behavior, and individual needs before an overnight stay. It also gives your dog the opportunity to become comfortable with our team, making boarding a familiar, low-stress experience rather than introducing new people and a new environment all at once.
We believe this relationship-first approach helps create a safer, more enjoyable boarding experience for your pet while allowing us to provide the exceptional level of care our clients have come to expect.
At Lucky Lucy's Pets, we believe boarding should feel like a home away from home. When your dog stays with us, they become part of our household—and more importantly, part of our family.
Unlike traditional boarding facilities, we don't use kennels or rows of crates. Our boarding dogs stay in our dog-friendly homes, where they're treated like members of the family. With cozy dog beds throughout the house, plenty of one-on-one attention, and couches always open for an afternoon nap (with permission, of course!), your dog will enjoy all the comforts of home while you're away.
For dogs who enjoy staying active, boarding guests can also participate in our daily dog walks, small group outings, or Doggy Hiking Adventures for an additional fee, providing even more exercise, enrichment, and socialization during their stay.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, boarding dogs must:
Be friendly and social with other dogs, as our team members have dogs of their own.
Be house trained.
Be able to settle and sleep comfortably through the night.
Be non-destructive when left unattended for short periods, including refraining from chewing furniture or household items.
Be current on all required vaccinations and parasite prevention as outlined in our boarding policies.
Because our boarding program takes place in real homes—not a kennel environment—we carefully evaluate each dog to ensure they're a good fit for this unique experience. This allows us to provide the safe, comfortable, and personalized care that makes our boarding program so special.

For many pets, there's simply no place like home. Our overnight pet sitting service allows your pets to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own environment while receiving personalized, one-on-one care from one of our trusted team members.
Staying in their own home helps minimize stress by allowing pets to maintain their normal routines, sleep in their favorite spots, and enjoy the comfort of familiar sights, sounds, and smells. This service is especially beneficial for senior pets, pets with medical conditions, anxious pets, multi-pet households, or any pet that would be happiest avoiding the transition to a new environment.
While caring for your pets, we'll also help keep your home running smoothly by bringing in mail and packages, watering indoor plants, rotating lights as requested, and completing other agreed-upon household tasks so you can travel with peace of mind.
To ensure the best experience for both your family and our team, new overnight pet sitting clients are generally required to establish a relationship with us through our dog walking services before booking overnight care. In most cases, this means a minimum of one month of dog walking services with at least two walks per week. However, every dog is different, and this timeline may be adjusted based on your pet's individual personality, behavior, comfort level, and overall care needs. Our goal is simply to ensure that both your pet and our team have the opportunity to build a trusting relationship before an extended stay.
This introductory period allows your pets to become familiar and comfortable with our team while giving us the opportunity to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs. It also helps ensure your home is a safe, appropriate environment for overnight care and allows everyone to feel confident and comfortable before an extended stay.
By taking a relationship-first approach, we're able to provide the personalized, low-stress care that both you and your pets deserve.
