key retrieval /Consultations
Following your new client phone consultation, clients have the option to schedule an in-home consultation with one of our team members. This meeting can be used to introduce your pet to their caregiver, review care instructions in person, conduct a behavioral assessment when appropriate, or complete a key exchange if needed.
Because a team member is traveling to and spending time at your home, all in-home consultations are billed based on the length of the visit.
The same time-based fee applies to appointments scheduled solely for key pick-ups or key drop-offs. Clients who utilize a lockbox, keypad, or other approved keyless entry method may not require a key exchange.
Holiday Fee
A $15 holiday surcharge is applied to all pet care visits scheduled on the major holidays observed by Lucky Lucy's Pets. Please refer to our Holiday Schedule for a complete list of observed holidays.
A $20 holiday surcharge per day applies to all in-home boarding services that take place on a holiday or during a designated holiday weekend.
Cancellation Fee
We understand that schedules can change, and we strive to offer our dog walking clients as much flexibility as possible. To help us properly staff and schedule our team, we ask that clients adhere to the following cancellation policy:
Midday Dog Walks: Cancellations must be made by 8:00 PM the evening before your scheduled visit. Visits cancelled after this time will be charged the full visit fee.
Off-Hour Dog Walks: A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations. Walks that are scheduled and cancelled on the same day are subject to the full visit fee.
Boarding Services: A minimum of two weeks' notice is required to cancel a boarding reservation without penalty. Cancellations made with less than two weeks' notice may incur a cancellation fee based on the amount of notice provided.
Pet Sitting Services: A minimum of one week's notice is required for cancellations. If you return home earlier than planned and no longer require your remaining scheduled visits, those visits will still be billed at the full scheduled rate, as that time has been reserved exclusively for your pet.

Late Payments
Invoices that remain unpaid for 21 days will incur a $15 late fee. An additional $15 late fee will be applied for each subsequent week the invoice remains unpaid until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
Complicated Medication Administration
Pets requiring complex medication administration, such as insulin injections, asthma treatments, or medications that require significant time or specialized handling, are subject to an additional $10 per visit.
Complete Litter Box Cleaning
A full litter box cleaning, including complete litter removal, sanitizing the box, and replacing it with fresh litter, is available for $15.
Caged Animal Care
Care for caged pets residing in a household with other pets starts at $10 per animal, with pricing varying based on the number of animals and the level of care required.
Garden & Outdoor Plant Watering
Watering outdoor gardens and plants starts at $15, with pricing based on the number of plants and the amount of time required.
